Right.. this particular post will probably not be all that interesting or useful, perhaps apart from the nudie pics of this transmitter's PCB. I'm still posting it for completeness.

Opening up this baby involves clicking off the buttons, then the bezel, and then removing four number 0 Phillips screws on the reverse side, after which the PCB can be clicked loose from the case.

On the front side of the PCB, we see 4 switches, the coiled antenna, and yet another 433 MHz crystal can, along with the battery contacts. On the reverse side, an unmarked SO-18 IC plus some analog circuitry including two SMD transistors.

The switches are wired in a 2x2 matrix, with connections: On to 3, Off, to 2, Left to 11, Right to 10. Ground is at pin 4 and Vcc at pin 14. These connections are similar but entirely different from those of the SO-18 IC in the PA3-1000R set -- that one had On & Off on the same pins but reversed, and used pins 13 to 11 for channel 1 through three (with a probable 10 as channel 4). This IC, with the factory-burned house code, thus appears to be from the same general family of devices, but with reversed pin assignments.

Bonus content: Here is a Danish set that isn't Elro-branded, but is clearly from the same factory as Elro Home Control.

BTW: HAPPY INTERNATIONAL CAPS LOCK DAY!

FAIL, NO CAPS. TITS OR GTFO

By Tweakers user Jasper Janssen, Friday 22 October 2010 15:08

If you don't see the caps that are clearly present, you're blind. If you mean I should write the entire thing in caps... feel free to start your own all-caps blog.
